How to improve a wet room?

I would welcome your ideas and suggestions on how to improve on my wet room. The shower curtain is normally closed due to a riser holding the track, restricting curtain movement. Many thanks.

I don't quite understand what you are asking. I think you need to be more specific: improve how?--decoration, storage, color? Also include a few more pictures from different angles. This will get you better input from the community.

Not sure what you're looking to improve, but paint is probably the cheapest way to change any room. You may want to start by choosing a wall colour that's in keeping with the rest of your home. It's hard to tell from the photo if there's a vanity in the room, but if there is, painting that out might help too.

I'd start with painting the walls with a bathroom paint (they're designed to withstand more humidity than other paints) and getting a nice shower curtain to complement the new colour of the walls.

Good luck...let us know how you made out!

If you are looking for ideas for decor, I suggest you start with a fresh coat of paint in a different color. I do not care for the cream and white together. Would you consider a big change in color like teal for example? You could do the wall opposite the door and with all the existing white, it would not be overwhelming. Add matching towels, a larger and embellished mirror, etc.

I would use a liquid sand in your paint isle...use it and the next step is an oil primer. ..and finally, whatever oil base paint you'd like to use....be sure to air dry in between each step. ..My bath was the same way in our use-to-be house.it was built on a pier-and- beam foundation ...it's a little extra work but it will be nice. .Good luck. ...it worked for me

It definitely needs some color like paint and a pretty shower curtain, and accessories.

Improve, as in improve the space efficiency, storage capacity, ??etc.

The one picture does not show the room in entirety- does it contain a sink or basin also, or just the toilet and shower?

Start with a bolder color of paint, which will make that mirror pop. Then buy a bright color shower curtain, one with a pattern to liven up the space and get towels to match.

Everyone is telling you to paint but from what little I can see the paint is in good condition, so that’s taken care of. First thing move the mirror from above the toilet! Really that is not a reflection anyone wants to see lol. Now pick a bold shower curtain or paint a design on the one you have if you’re in a creative mood. Hang some fun art on the walls, I suggest looking for outdoor art that won’t be bothered by the dampness in the room. Then some colorful towels and a few accessories like a bowl of pretty soaps and your done. If you have a high ceiling for hanging or enough floor space add a plant, they love the humidity.
