Where are you planning to put the solar lights?
Indoors or outdoors? Are these for lighting a garden path or a solar motion light or something else?
Really no such thing as "best". The more LED's they have the brighter they are. Batteries should last about a year before they need to be replaced. Keeping the solar cell clean will charge the batteries fully. Buy what you can afford.
They'll last about three or four hours after a full charge, but as time goes on, the time will decrease. As for coverage, you won't get as much as if they were electric. If they're wired, then you can control how long they last, too.
Mine are mid range solar lights (9 or more lumens) and last all night, they are dim by 6 a.m., but still on. I am in zone 9 and they get full sun all day. Placement does make a difference too. Keep the lens clean and have spare batteries on hand. Or bite the bullet and install hard wired lighting, if that is an option. I have along my front walkway to the front door, lining the rose bushes in the front yard and a vast sum of them in my back yard. I actually want to fly over my house to see what it looks like. Need to find someone with a drone or a helicopter.
Harbor freight has a big selection and best prices I've seen. Never disappointed with their products. I buy frequently from their stores and on line. Over 15 years a customer.

LED is the best among metal halide, halogen and CFL because LED is more energy-saving and long-lasting. So, if there is emergency condition, LED can always give you longer using time.
