I have dogs who like to be couch potatoes. How can I minimize the scratches from their claws when they jump up?

Assuming their claws are short and kept trimmed, you can either put a cover on the couch, or keep booties on the dogs’ feet. It’s likely easier to keep a throw blanket on the couch.

    Hi JZ,

Suggest you have their nails clipped on a regular basis and throw a towel over where they normally jump up! Hope that helps...........

I had the same problem with our 2 fur babies. I was trying everything until it hit on me our furniture is leather. Leather is also used on shoes and they take shoe polish! I found a similar shoe polish (ours is dark brown) and the scratches disappear! It does not rub off. After a month I see a few more scratches so I just applied it again and the scratches disappeared! It only takes a brief moment. I use Johnsons Kiwi shoe polish with the applicator sponge on the top. It is available where shoes are sold and is simple to "pat" and "dab" and rub it in. Hope you can find a color to match your furniture too!

Get markers the same color and color them in
