Has anyone here built an outdoor sauna?
I’d like some ideas on how to build an outdoor sauna. My husband and I would like to make this our summer project. Obviously price is a major factor.

As you know, you’ll be buying wood that can take extremes in temperature and humidity. I don’t know if cedar will suffice or if you’ll need redwood.
Redwood is expensive for just that reason, it will tolerate extremes for many decades.
What is your planned source of heat? You’ll need to get a pro involved if it’s electric or natural gas/propane from your house.
I would look on line for plans as making sure the humidity doesn’t get trapped in the walls and cause mold, is a serious consideration.

Basic kits generally start around $2,000 and go up to $7,000, while DIY saunas cost around $3,000 to $6,000. This may help
