Something else that has worked for my is hydrogen peroxide. I've had our cats leave marks on mine and was able to remove them with a mix of hydrogen peroxide and water. The "recommended" mix is 10 parts water to 1 part HP, but I made mine a little stronger. This mix has also saved my bedspread that is white with "water-colored" flowers in many colors. Scrub with nail brush/toothbrush with detergent bubbles, soak up with Kitchen roll, then sprinkle on shake and Vac or talc to soak up damp, then vac when dry. Good luck!
