    Hi Maasia,

First off, make sure there is no animal waste either around or in your yard, that draws them like crazy. They also are attracted to any rotting material, such as decaying fruit and compost.

I use fly bags. They stink, but they work. I hang them about 20 feet from my patio so we don't have to smell them.

Determine what attracts them and eliminate that source. Hang fly catchers. Use Sevin Dust. Hang a baggie of water over all exterior doors to help keep them away from the inside of the house.

Studies say it doesn't work but I'll never take my baggies down. I saw a neighbor had them up and finally asked what that was about. I thought can't work, really strange, and ugly. Years later told my friend in Texas and she tried it, telling me it was a godsend. Finally I hung baggies...not 100% but definitely a noticeable decrease in the number of flies that get indoors. We guessed it might cause vision disturbances in the odd fly eyes but no proof. Like I said, studies say there's nothing to it.
