I have been looking forward to this point in my diing room transformation - the hanging of the Creamware Platter collection. I've placed a few inside the china cabinet as well as glued one to the large candlestick in the left side of the picture. How to arrange the platters and how to hang them symmetrically became the challenge. Here is the step-by-step procedure that I did to achieve this look. platters
The completed look. The creamware platters alongside the painted china hutch, some of the platters inside the hutch and one on the large candlestick
Arrange the platters on a table or on the floor in the pattern you like
Place the platters on brown paper and trace with pencil first then retrace the outline of the plates with colored chalk. Measure to make sure the distance is relatively even
Place the plate hanger onto the platter. Turn the platter over and place within the outline. Lifting both the plate and the paper find the point where the hanger will go and mark it with a pencil. Poke a hole through the spot and highlight it with chalk
Place the template on the wall with double stick tape - using a level to make sure top of paper is even. Mark through the spots on the wall where the nail will go for the hanger.
The finished look! I love the creamware platters - they add beauty and light to this side of the room.
