What plants work in shade of big trees?

    Hi Jean. Sweet Alyssums, Begonias, Impatiens, and Fuchsia all love shade. So does Coleus.

      They say Sun to Filtered Shade but my Elephant Ears in the shadiest part of my yard do the best of any of the Bulbs I have Planted. I have them with Caladiums and you wouldn't believe how they thrive in that shade. Go figure huh. lol.

    bleeding hearts are my favorites! although they do not bloom for that long they are worth it.
