Hi ! Krud Kutter de greaser ( I found at home depot ) works great on getting off old dirt , grease , oils ,& polishes . Then I would use either lemon or orange oil to help rejuvenate the wood , lol , they make a product by the same name that is supposed to work well , also Halloway House make a great wood refinishing oil . I use Dollar Tree Awesome Orange in the half gallon, if not too soiled add to hot water and use a large car sponge. Wear kitchen rubber gloves as its hard on the hands if you use alot. Use straight from the bottle on a sponge for stubborn grease and nicotine.
Consider combining dishwashing soap and water in a weak solution. Wipe the entire piece after dipping a soft cloth into the solution and wringing it out. Not a wet cloth—you want one that is damp. Rinse your cloth frequently and avoid soaking the wood.

OrangeGlo is my favorite. If greasy make a baking soda and vinegar paste to scrub with a child toothbrush.
Microfiber clothes (like Norwex) and water work miracles!
