Clean the old floor until you could eat off of it and then paint it with floor paint and seal it with a sealer intended for floors.
Prep is key for the paint to stick. I cleaned mine, used deglosser, primed with Zinnser BIN, then painted with floor and porch paint. 2 years later, they still look great!
