CLR and a pipe wrench put the CLR on a paper towel or cloth and wrap it around the area let it sit on it about 15-30 mins then use wrench to gently turn it loose repeat if needed and add some CLR as you are turning it.use the CLR cloth on connector under wrench so you can grab it easier

  • You can spray some WD40 on and leave I for about 30 minutes them scrub it off with a brush.

    Hi Sandra,

I'd spray it well with WD-40 and let it sit to do its work. If it's still a little stuck, use a wrench to see if you can get it loose. Wishing you the best.

Hi Sandra. Begin by purchasing a can of PB Blaster for penetration. Spray it liberally and leave 10 or 15 minutes. Then twist it using Channel Locks. If you get any movement, twist it back and forth. You can spray more PB Blaster if necessary. You can find the PB Blaster and channel locks at any hardware store, home improvement store, Walmart, etc.

Try some WD40 , that should work , you might need to use a wrench or channel locks . Once it's off clean off both areas well . Then before replacing the hose , rub some Vaseline on the treads of the faucet . To make it easier to remove the next time .

Thank you all your the best. I will try all until I can get it off. Pamela that's for the Vaseline advise. I was thinking grease of some kind before letting this happen again.

    Sandra,

Do not use vaseline (or any other petroleum based product). It will cause the rubber or silicone O-ring in your hose to deteriorate. Use a paste type thread sealant or teflon tape to prevent leaks. You can also use an anti-seize compound.

Thank You Seth for the advise. the Teflon tape sounds good. I might just undo the hose after each use. Lot of hassle but wont get stuck again lol.
