How to make leaves for a family "crest"?

I'm handy with a dremel and have a steady hand for doodling and moking things up but I've taken on a difficult task of making a family crest for a friends father's 60th bday NEXT WEEKEND! So, I can draw this thing. I can paint and I could dremel/carve it but if anyone has any suggestions on putting the very detailed leaves around this please let me know. I considered clay molding (as I've fairly artsy enough). but not sure if I should even try it since I don't really have much time. I can draw, paint and carve but I'm scared to tackle this head on with these options. I also have a Cricut Maker if I could find a way to further ease.
You can use sculpey clay. They sell it in all colors, you can roll out the clay for the curves and leaves. When you bake the clay it becomes hard and you can paint it or and or glue it to anything. You can also find wood scrolls, leaves and shapes in the wood section at Hobby Lobby.
Look into IOD mouldings. You use paper clay or resin with them.
You can also find some of these scrolls, leaves and shapes at a home improvement store where they sell lumber for making furniture. Or try Ebay and Amazon. You may have to pay a premium for shipping though as your this close to due date.
Hello Holly, Is this to be free standing with no back plate or are the leaves to be against a backboard. If against a backboard, I would try to apply wooden or plaster foliage. If not use a Jigsaw or Dremel to cut out design. Clay modeling Clay or Paper Mache or even stuffed fabric wreath could also be a contenders....Good luck, I'm sure it will all be worthwhile in the end and be much appreciated.
All great suggestions. Form it out clay, paper mache, polymer clay as close as possible. Then carve and sand. Make photo copies to use as templates.
Or an easier way is to photo copy, trace onto poster board including the veins of the leaves then using a hot glue gun to retrace the veins then paint it and adhere it to the shield.
