Amdro Ant Bait put on trails they carry back to nest/colony kills everything, works fast less than 24hrs. Make your own Boric Acid mixed in jiffy cornbread mix---- both are poison so keep pets, kids out of it.

  • Jan try what I do:

I use packaged cornbread mix that says it is sweetened and put it where they are. They will take it to the mound, everyone will eat it and die, they can't digest the cornmeal, but will take it because it is sweetened. Little goes a long way.

I read this from : Itsmemic

Medicated powder from the Dollar Tree. It has eucalyptus in it...menthol...I puff it around my homes foundation..and inside under my birdcages in the cracks under moldings. Work immediately and they never come back. I do this at the first sign of ants..in one day..GONE. The powder is in a very large container and lasts quite awhile too !! And smells great !

Not toxic to my birds OR dog

Ants are a necessary part of nature but when they become intrusive they need to be eliminated. Here is a tutorial that works for ANY ants. Find their trail or where they come in then apply to that area. Also go outside or under the house to see if you can find their mound. Here is the safe, efficient, effective and inexpensive way that WORKS: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/outdoor/pest-repeller/ants-safe-and-effective-cure-36651130

1/4 cup of Borax, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of water mixed well. Then take small pieces of toilet paper or paper napkins, dip them into the liquid and place near any Ant trails on your property.

They will immediately begin sucking the juice out of the paper. Afterward they go home and die. Other ants at home eat them and die also, including the Queen.

You shouldn't see any trace of that colony after 3 days with no rain.

  • Hi Jan - Those little buggers are relentless, aren't they?!? This is the most effective method and all-natural spray DIY that we use with ants. It's best indoors, but will also work outside with more frequent applications. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
