How do you add a design using a template on white cultured marble?

Cultured marble really doesn't accept paint well since it is basically plastic. It will scratch off and peel even if you add a poly sealer.
Sharpie markers should work. They are permanent. Use a few coats of a water based polyurethane for extra protection.
