How to Paint Faux Brick
Clean with TSP, lightly sand if can, prime and paint. I would use oil based primer and paint, satin finish. You can use a fuzzy roller and trim out and touch up with a brush.
Clean, prime with Kilz prime, paint your color. Use a thick nap roller and 4" paint brush.
Definately take time with the prep for best results.
Using a textured paint roller, paint a primer coat of paint for the type of surface you are painting followed by a top coat or two of the paint color you want.
