What are best paper towels for cleaning?

none----really, they are made with chemicals to increase absorption which leave streaks & smears also scratch the surface of many items you use them on. use white cotton wash cloths,old cotton t-shirts cut up into pieces,old cotton towels and when you rewash these do not put fabric softener on them it decreases absorption and leaves streaks & smears; plus paper towels are expensive and wasteful. To make one ton of paper towels 17 trees are killed and 20,000gallons of water are polluted.

I think most paper towels are fine for cleaning, unless you find one that's super soft and leaves lint. I like the ones that are broken into smaller sheets so I don't waste as much.

Hello Frances, The ones that hold the liquid without breaking up - I use Regina Blitz, they are blue and white in a metal grid or basketweave design. Hope that helps.

Frances.... We have groceries stores in our area called United Grocery Outlets. They carry rolls of blue paper towels. My husband goes there all the time to pick up for work he does in his shops. We have used them for so many household cleaners because they are a tougher material than most paper towels. No name on them but they are great! Wish I could be of more help!

I would rather use old white cotton kitchen towels to clean than paper towels. Not the bath towel type. You can wash them and use them forever!
