How do I clean the black off an iron?

    Hello Pat,

    Put an old cloth on the board and warm the Iron. Use any odd bit of bar soap and rub over the iron, It will sissle - not to worry just lift and iron over the old piece of cloth, repeat until clean..........Best wishes.

  • Hi Pat! You can make a paste out of equal amounts of white toothpaste, baking soda, and white vinegar. Then use a green Scotchbrite dish scrubber. Then wipe off the residue with a paper towel. It takes a little elbow grease but it works.
