How to repurpose old vintage wood frames, without glass?

Tricia @ Simplicity In The SouthScrapbookingmamawMegan

Any ideas on how I can re- purpose or use old wooden picture frames? They do not have glass.

Yes! LOVE this! You can paint them and make a picture wall out of the frames. I've also seen where people make picture frame walls and stagger old plates in between the frames.

You could chalk paint the frames OR the easiest thing would be to spray them. :)

    Have fun!

If you have four of the same size, you can glue 4 of them together into a square or rectangle, and make a lantern out of them. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube

  • Thrift store frames are one of my favorite things to repurpose. My favorite projects so far was using a piece of sheet metal painted with chalkboard spray paint and made into a memo board. You can write on it or hang notes with magnets. One piece of sheet metal can be used for several frames depending on the size.
