How to make screen doors?

Need a pattern to make screen doors for the back of our house. Have 3 sets of french doors and now with the weather nicer I would love to open them but need 6 screen doors.

you need to figure out which would be less expensive, making them or purchasing them. go see at your big box diy store as to what the prices are, then cost out the lumber to make them. if you have a habitat for humanity re-store , you might get ready made and just need of repair. it's not rocket science to replace the screens. did every one in this house and most of my elderly aunts place.

  I have measured the opening and they are about an inch bigger than a standard screen door. I know how to insert the screen. I need the door itself. To get screen doors to fit would have to be costume made and that is too pricey.

The screens that are used for camper doors might work well for what you want and are very reasonable in price. They have a magnetic strip in the middle of each opening so that it closes as you move away. These work great on campers so should work great for you.

Can you trim down the over sized door? Remove enough to get it to hang properly? I had to trim the top and bottom of a door I installed for my mom.

  Trimming down is not what I would need to do, it would be adding on. They have to go on the outside door frame and it is bigger than a standard door frame. Plus I really do not want to put a bar down the middle for them,
