What is the best thing to put on leather, mine looks dry and brittle?

I have 3 barstools that are leather, they are looking very dry. What can I use on them?

mink oil, found in shoe care isle, its in a tin like the shoe polishes, apply liberally and park near a heat vent. now, are they leather or pleather? if you get a strand of the fabric/leather...take a very small piece just a small strand and put a match to it. if it burns to dust, its leather, forms a glob and sticky- pleather.
Auto leather renewal solution is available at your local auto or hardware store. Use it frequently to make the leather supple again. This will prevent the cracking. A little bit goes a long way and is applied with a clean cloth. It comes in a spray so spray the cloth not the stools or some might hit the floor and make it slippery.
Saddle soap to clean them and leather conditioner to keep them soft and supple.
