Have yo considered painting in the shape of a frame around the mirror? This can be done in multiple colors. You could stencil around the mirror, or attach a cool paper with adhesive and seal it with polyurethane. Easy peasy.

If your mirror is big enough, you can glue narrow wood onto the mirror. May even have it in peel aand stick. Ask someone at Lowes or other supply store.
