There are so many options, but first you have to see what kind of "Organizer" you are. If you like your things in little cubbies, boxes, hanging bags, shelving, drawers or hooks.
You can get multipurpose furniture, like a desk that opens up, a chair with flip up seat, an ottoman with storage inside, mirrored hanging storage shelves are great for storing clothing that must hang AND giving you a great place to showcase your look.
There are hanging shelves that normally hang in your closet, but you can be creative and hang them on the wall and drape them with sensational curtains and use xmas lights behind for a dramatic effect.
Color coding things, also helps. Health and Beauty items in the pink shelves or boxes, school work or work stuff in the blue ones, recreational things in the green totes, or what have you.
I saw a friend of mine put in a revolving clothes rack that was a long rectangle, hung her clothes at a slight outward angle and she could rotate the whole thing for each season. She fit about 1000 hanging garments in there (no coats or jackets) and it took up LESS space in her closet. I don't know if her dad built it for her or bought it, but it was incredibly space saving.
Lots of people color coordinate when they store their accessories and clothes. Makes getting dressed more efficient and creative. Makes your room easier to organize.
There are garage shelves that are all sorts of black, blue, red, purple, vinyl coated wire, that are meant to be mounted up near the ceiling to store things out of the way, like extra blankets or off season clothing.
Once you’ve got the bed in order, you want to focus on what’s underneath it. Some beds come with built in drawers and storage areas which is useful (if a little restrictive). However if like me the area under your bed is just dead space, turn it into something useful with a few storage boxes. With my double bed I can get at least eight boxes under it (four along either side). Just make sure they are the type that have wheels so they can be easily pulled out. You don’t want to be struggling on your hands and knees trying to pull things out!
Hi Shelia, this is Peggy. I organize my closet by season, I am getting ready to get the summer clothes out any day now. I also went to the dollar store and got clear boxes for my shoes. In my closet I put all the same colors together, very helpful if you are looking for a black sweater. I have all my skirts in one spot and dresses in another. I hop this will help you. Good luck organizing.
In the closet, switch to the thin flocked hangers which will give you more room. Add cascading hooks or a second rod. With the extra space you can add a hanging organizer. Bins below and above your clothes. Organize like clothes together hanging from dark to light colors and heavy to light weight. Under the bed storage. Add shelving with pretty bins to hold items.
Hi Shelia!
I understand and it is so helpful to get things organized. Here are some ideas for you.....

I've gotten some shoe organizers at Target and they're great for sandals, flats, etc. I store them on the bottom of my closet floor.
