I keep a dish scrubber in a tall cup on the side of the bathtub. The scrubber holds a mixture of dish soap and vinegar. After anyone uses the bathtub I scrub the soap scum off with the dish scrubber and rinse. I never have rings with this method. For a deep clean, I will scrub with the soft scrub paste. Keep one of these next to the bathtub for daily use:

I’m a cleaning lady so, I always use comet , since it already has bleach in it and it doesn’t scratch it to bad, just don’t get it to wet or it won’t take the scumm off of it !!!
If it isn't marble, you can use wet & forget shower. It may take a bit of time to clean because you use it weekly but it will keep it 100% clean with regular, weekly use.
Lysol Power Scrub in the blue trigger spray bottle is great for removing build up. I use a spin scrubber with that to make it a little less back breaking.
