How to fix a lava lamp that has no motion inside the bottle?

  • The lightbulb inside that creates the heat might be out. See if you can take it apart and replace the bulb

    Check the light bulb in the base. Clean the bottom of the glass "bottle". The "wax" has lost it's properties to flow and no way to repair that.

    Hi Lynne, Have you checked the Plug? or Replace the heat source that melts the Lava . Good luck....

    YEAH, i'M GOING WITH THE BULB ISN'T GETTING HOT ENOUGH TOO....

    The newer lava lamps have cooler bulbs and sometimes batteries that are often accessible through a door with tiny screws. An eyeglass repair kit costs about $1 and has a tiny screwdriver that should fit. Best wishes!
