What's the best way to clean ceiling fans?
Do those special fan dusters really work, or is a pillow case or damp microfiber cloth more effective in keeping the dust contained?

I cut and drape a plastic garbage under the ceiling fan taped to the ceiling. Then wipe the built up dust off the blades and housing. Then use a damp cloth to wipe it down. Remove the plastic and throw it out.

How to Clean a Ceiling Fan
Always remove as much of the dust as you can with a duster. That may be all you need. If you use liquid right away, you lots of times end up just spreading around the dust.
The Norwex dusting wand - all dust sticks and can be used behind TV's, under couches, under hutches, on ceiling fans, on base boards - its amazing!! https://maurawhite.norwex.biz/en_US/customer/shop/product-detail/387954?categoryName=Cleaning
I use a bucket of soapy water. A grease cutter if it's in the kitchen. I use old socks. I put my hand inside. It seems easier than a big bulky rag. I use more than one & throw them away. Good luck 😊
I use the fan duster that is a rounded brush with a slit in the middle. It works great. If I've skipped for a while, I dampen it as I clean to keep the dust from scattering.
I like to dust it off with a vacuum cleaner first then I use a little dawn soap in some hot water and wipe down the blades.
