We have trapped chipmunks in a live trap and moved them. I have heard it said you need to move them at least 5 miles away preferably to a wooded area.
Spray mixture of cayenne pepper in yard.
Hi ! Try going to the dollar store and pick up pinwheels or lawn spinners ,and place the stick end in the ground about 5-7 inches , do this in the areas you see the chipmunks . When the wind blows it causes the spinners to spin , this causes a vibration down the stick and into the ground , which the chipmunk don't like .
Good luck !!!
Nature doesn't work that way. Best you can do is to deter them.
