Hello Grace! I would do one room at a time starting with the walls, then the woodwork, and finally the windows. While you are working in one room at a time you can also consider reducing any clutter, moving furniture and vacuuming in places you rarely vacuum-like under the beds and dressers, washing curtains, drapes and blinds. Also consider cleaning any carpet. I also like to clean all my window screens in the spring when it's warm so the fall/winter dust doesn't blow back into the house when I have the windows open. It's a big job to do the entire house al at once!

Grace....That is exactly what I do...one room at a time. I move all furniture from around room so I can get to wood work and vac good. I have also found that spring cleaning is a perfect time to rearrange a room...matter of fact..I finished one just yesterday. Made me feel so good...now to the next! I do however finished all my windows before I start my cleaning but that depends on the person!
