I have a window cornice that I do not want the expense of recovering. Can it be painted, and what type of paint.
You can get fabric paint at Micheals. They even have spray fabric paint. But what I would do is buy ANY COLOR latex paint and add a fabric medium into it. Try liquitex fabric medium or ceramcoat textile medium. Just google these 2 products and follow the directions on the bottle to mix with paint. I haven't done this yet so I don't have one of my own posts for you but I have thought about doing it myself and I would use these products. I love being able to use my own color especially when it comes to home decor. good luck!
Yes use fabric paint go to michaels they sell paint for fabric like shirts crafts you could use any paint realy as long as you don’t mind if it’s a little stiff
Hi Richard, I have also seen fabric spray paint. I do know that people paint fabric furniture with chalk paint and it may work well for your cornice, if the fabric is taut. Here are two post ~ traditional paint with a fabric medium and a chalk painting fabric post for reference. Hope they help.
