I know they make an outdoor window cleaner that you attach to your hose ...I never tried it , but it sounds easy ! I always use a mix of white vinegar and water , and use a squeegee ! Works good for me and is a lot faster than wiping with paper towels or newspaper .

Deborah...Just finished mine with Windex and newspapers.

  • Or hire out. Not as expensive as you might think. I have them come spring and fall. They do windows inside and out, including screens, sills and casing. In and out in less than 2 hours. I do the day to day cleaning in between with vinegar, water, newspaper, car wash sponge and squeegee.

The best glass solution I have used is to mix Isopropal alcohol from the dollar store with water 1 part alcohol 2 parts water. Cuts through the dirt and interior film. Spray on glass and squeegee off and repeat wiping off with paper towels

Dawn dish soap, hot water &soft scrub brush on frames, sills tracks--rinse outside with hose let dry do glass;inside rinse/wipe with clean cloth and fresh bucket of hot water let dry do glass ;straight rubbing/isopropyl alcohol on glass-pour it on clean white wash cloth and wipe. No fabric softener on cloth or paper towels because both cause streaking and smearing(paper towels have chemicals to increase absorption that cause it) if you do inside one direction-horizontally & outside the other-vertically it's much easier to tell which side you have missed a spot. clean microfiber cloths are great for smudges inbetwen cleaning. The rubbing alcohol works great on windows, glass, autos, showers. It is what is in store bought window cleaners for minimal price minus blueing and glycols
