I use dawn dish detergent. Scrub gunk off with Dawn, then rinse with just water. Buff out with dry soft cloth. I use cloth baby diapers to buff & polish stove top & stainless steel frig. Hope this helps
Rita...I like Weiman stove top cleaner. They have a rough scrubber (mine is red) and it works well on my stove top. I also use a utility scraper gently on it if something is really burned on badly. You can purchase at most grocery stores, Walmart, etc.
This stuff is magic, also use the cream, buy both at Walmart or any grocery store. Using the cream puts a wax coat and makes for an easier clean up. Remember to wipe with paper towel (buff) I find that the dish towel makes a big smeary mess!!
This is the burner I use very regularly it has got a white layer ? How do I get rid of this ? and maintaining glass top stove tips would be greatly appreciated

Bar Keepers Friend powder.
For burnt on gunk, I use a razor blade to scrape it off and then clean with Bar Keepers Friend.
Rinse well and buff dry with a soft cloth.
Cream of tartar sprinkled on wet surface. Leave awhile then scrub off.
Weimar glass cook top, that is all I use and it works. Home Depot has it. My is 13 yrs old and looks like I have never used it.
