Clean with white vinegar and water..then try a paint remover or goo-gone
What about a stripper that is a little safer since it is in a bathroom. What about citristrip?
Give Citristrip a chance but it might be expensive for that area. I would go with baking soda and vinegar and lots of scrubbing and rinsing and soft buffing. As for it being toxic in the bathroom, so would the adhesive, grout, paint, and other materials have been befor they dried and/or were cleaned. Keep children and pets away from all cleaning and building supplies. Please post as a project on Hometalk.com!
