How do I get DARK BLUE hair dye out of my carpet. I always put an old sheet down but a couple of dots made it to the carpet. It had already dried when I discovered it. Thanks much, Barbz

What kind of carpet is it? If it has at least a slight shag and they are small spots, get down with a pair of scissors and you might can cut the threads out.

Really relies on the carpet fibers and color. You can maybe use Tide, Easy Off or a Weak Diluted Plumber's Helper applied directly to the specks.

If it was a White Carpet, you could apply bleach.

Problem with dye on a carpet is: Hair Grows, carpets do not (except to a family of 12 to 20 Kids in Kentucky where you may wanna call sock fuzz and toe jams: Carpet Growth...)

I mean: Yeah probably you can use regular Hair Shampoo to wear the dye off if you shampoo it 30 times, but you are also wearing off your knuckles.
