My neighbor has 2 dogs and the fleas travel over into my yard. How can I kill the fleas in my back yard they bring with them so I can sit out and enjoy my plants without getting bit.

Sounds like you could flood the area with water-hosing the cement off every few days--that is fairly inexpensive.

It is not your job to kill your neighbors fleas. You discuss it with your neighbor as politely and professionally as you can say: 'Before I call the Humane Society...'.

You must coincide the dates you intend to bug bomb in the Home and Garden, otherwise you both will get them over and over.

I am sure she/he does not want pets with fleas. If she/he does, call the Humane Society about the problem.

  • Vinegar. I spray the perimeter of my property and base of my house once a month with vinegar. Must be reapplied after every rain event. Spray the ground only, as over time it will make paint peel. Do not spray on plants or flowers.

Planting a drift of Pennyroyal will deter the fleas and your neighbor's dogs. Spray your property line with a repellent made from clove oil, peppermint oil, lemon oil and or orange oil, to further keep her dogs off your property.
