What is the easiest way to clean pollen off the large screens of my screen porch?

The best way that I have found is using a soft bristled brush with a long handle (such as one you would use to wash a car), and a bucket of soapy water, then rinse with the garden hose. My screens are old, and I am afraid that a pressure washer would damage them.
