-You can always turn a drop cloth into a tablecloth.

-Sew scrap fabric together to get the size you want.

-Check your local thrift stores for new sheets and turn those into tablecloths.

Use sheets. There are wonderful patterns available at discount stores. If you don't sew or use a sewing machine you can use iron on tape to hem it with easy-peasy

Sheets, or shower curtains, or even table cloths from Ross, TJMAXX,Marshall’s..., if it’s for something specific, like Easter and you want to DIY, painters fabric drop cloths are inexpensive, and there is a lot of material if you get the largest size. You could even make napkins, chair runners. Be sure to wash it first, so it shrinks, measure out the size of your table ( you can just spread it on the table and cut it to the length you want) give a quick press, then you can fray the cut edges, or use fabric glue to put ribbon on edges. You can stencil a design and you have your own one of a kind table cover. I used this for chair “runners” for Thanksgiving, I cut a long runner draped it over the chair back, tied it so it wouldn’t slip off. And stenciled THANKFUL FOR FRIENDS,on one and THANKFUL FOR FAMILY on the other. Then stitched a ribbon, and a couple of faux wheat stems underneath the sayings.

  • Or go the fabric store and choose some fabric. Instead of heming, use pinking shears.
