How can I make an all natural weed/ grass killer?

I would like an alternative to the harsh chemical weed/ grass killers available. Also if anyone knows a natural bug spray, I'd appreciate that as well.

Here's what I use: Take a spray bottle and cover the bottom with salt and fill it up with vinegar. Add a few drops of dish soap and shake. Spray on the weeds.

1 quart white vinegar
2 tablespoons dawn
1/4 cup salt

mix in a spray bottle and kill away.

CAUTION! DO NOT SPRAY ANYTHING YOU WANT TO LIVE.

I just use white vinegar in a pump sprayer.
