How do I choose a color pallet for my house?

I have an open floor plan. Here is my problem. Brown and tan Berber carpet in two rooms laminate in dining room and light green tile in kitchen. I need a color plate for my house.

Consider how much natural light each area receives too. From what you describe, I would go with a fall palette. To lighten up for Sring, use lighter shades, peaches, mint greens, light olive, etc. Aqua and turquoise would also look smashing too.

If you go to the paint store you will find all kinds of paint palettes to work from. Select one which has the colors of your carpet and flooring and one with green in it and see what goes with it. Everyone's taste is different so this should help you to decide.
Start with a item you like and you are going to keep pick a color and base the room off that
I would do neutral tones such as a gray and white palette. This will keep everything light and bright!
