    Different bugs use different techniques to eradicate them... so what kind of bugs? Larder beetles? Ants, roaches, moth etc.?

    If you have fruit flies, which are very common, since they can be brought home from the grocery store, then put some warm water in a small bowl, add a bit of sugar and then sprinkle a yeast package over top. It will foam up and the smell will attract the flies. Place a clear plastic wrap over the top of the bowl and punch a small hole into the center. The flies will enter and cannot get out.

    All grains, including all flours should be frozen for 48 hours before placing in airtight containers.

    Keep all cereals, candy, sodas, juices, etc. in tightly sealed containers. Line shelves with non stick grip style liners that can be scrubbed at least twice, yearly.

    Wipe up all dpills, immediately.

    Scrub kitchen walls with Dawn Ultra. Rinse, then wipe walls and hard surfaces (but never granite) with distilled white vinegar.

    Vacuum floors and thresholds regularly. Put bay leaves in kitchen cabinets, or wipe interiors with peppermint extract diluted with some water.

    Caulk the areas between walls and cabinets.

    Regularly clean beneath refrigerator, interior of refrigerator and dishwasher, particularly on doors and gasket areas.

    Vacuum area rugs at least weekly. Pick up and wipe off floor gel mats.

    Wash pantry shelves at least yearly.

    Always insure lids are tightly affixed to peanut butter jars, jelly jars, sauce jars, etc.

    Check crevices of cookware/lids for food residue and scrub as necessary.

    Keep oven interiors and cooktops clean.
