Office Tour Decorated From a Dumpster

Decorating a room doesn't have to be expensive. In fact, you can decorate on practically zero budget. Check out my office and creative space that I decorated from almost all free and upcycled items.
Welcome to my Office Decorated from a Dumpster! Everything in my office space has a purpose, but almost all of it has been upcycled. I hope I give you some ideas of how you can decorate for far less any area in your home.
My half mannequin stands sentinel over my space as you enter. Affectionately known as "Manny". I have a Dumpster Found Book case and a French Door that serves as a room divider. They both define my office space and create a separate room feel.
This book page wreath is made from an outdated road atlas. It hangs from the top of my French Door Room Divider. It reminds me to travel out of my office more often!
The curtain above the French Door is made from a piece of a painters drop cloth. I used fabric scraps to trim the edge and visual color and interest.
Another Dumpster found bookshelf houses craft and decorating/painting books. On top is my supply of lamps waiting to be upcycled and given a lamp shade.
I have plenty of lamp shades. Many of them found, some from garage sales. The shelf that holds them is a panel from an old wood garage door. I used large shelf brackets to hold the panel up. This keeps the lamps from cluttering up the rest of the room.
My work space. The painting is a kitschy find from a thrift store. A Black Velvet Last Supper painting. It is a bit irreverent, but it makes me chuckle and reminds me that are all kinds of ways to be creative.
My vision board and Idea board. The flowers on the board are made from old magazines and catalogs. Rosie the Riveter reminds me "We can do it". I decorated my office with practically zero budget, and you can decorate your home for far less too!

As a divorced mom of 3, the budget doesn't stretch to furnishing our home as I'd like to. So my go-to stores are 3 charity shop warehouses where I have picked up all sorts of interesting finds. Some are used as I find them, others are cleaned up and given a spot of paint. But they altogether make our home individual and eclectic.... and not one of our guests has ever known that it is furnished entirely from charity finds! It's possible to do this and have a lot of fun in the process
