My son's bedroom has a rustic woodland theme, with lots of reds and blues throughout. As he gets older, he needed a pair of sturdy night stands to store his books. Instead of going with store bought furniture, my husband decided to put his awesome woodworking skills to good use and created these one-of-a-kind Coke crate night stands! He made this pair of night stands 100% from scratch, using an old window for a door and cutting up vintage Coca-Cola crates for the sides and back. He constructed the box using furniture grade wood with the dimensions of the windows as a guide, then glued the Coke crates onto the sides and backs with wood glue and finish nails. A pretty pair of wooden legs purchased at Lowes completed the look. To see the full post, please click link at the bottom.
What do you do when you have a bunch of old Coke crates lying around in your basement? You make a pair of nightstands out of them! My husband glued the Coke crates onto the sides and backs of a pair of nightstands with wood glue and finish nails, and you will not BELIEVE how great they turned out.
My son's rustic bedroom is complete with these vintage night stands! You've GOT to come see the full reveal of this CUTE CUTE CUTE project!
