Butler Tray Coffee Table Makeover

Last fall I was bitten by the furniture painting bug. I scooped up this little guy for $5 and stashed him away in my garage. Under threat of it being kicked to the curb, I gave it a little makeover with some paint and sand paper.
First, I used two coats of Americana Chalky Finish paint in "Primitive" all over the table. Then I lightly sanded in areas to distress the finish.
Next, I taped the table top and painted a shabby chic grain sack stripe to give the table some color and added interest.
Finally, I applied a coat of SC Johnson Paste Wax to the entire table and buffed to a dull shine.
Although the table definitely isn't everyone's style, it at least looks better than it did when I got it!
