I would wash everything down with Simple Green. It deodorizes and disinfects and is not harmful to animals or humans. Anywhere the dog can reach needs a thorough cleaning on furniture, walls, furniture, carpet, flooring , throw rugs , bed and bedding etc.

Soft surfaces are what makes pet smells linger. I've found that washable covers help with furniture. Don't forget throws and pillows. Frequent vacuuming if there is any carpet. I don't like scented powders because after I removed wall-to wall carpet, I found out that the powder, in spite of frequent vacuuming seems to embed itself and work its way below carpet. A dusty mess in other words. I had a good vacuum, too. I think the powder attracts dirt, too, judging from the dirt I found under the carpet, but, that's just my opinion. Lesson learned. Now, I have area rugs instead of carpet everywhere. Brushing and bathing your pets helps, also.

I would wipe everything down with Simple Green. It is non toxic, deodorizes and disinfects. You can get the spray or concentrate at home improvement stores or the concentrate from Walmart.
