If you get 2 or more good ears of corn for human cumsumption you are doing good. I use no pestiside, herbasides, or any other sides. I grow a combination of sweet and field corn. which goes to freinds neighbors, and a farmers cows

I live in a micro climate which affects the rain greatly. I recently learned that is is due to large mineral deposits forming a 60 mile half circle . Approx. 80 storms manily split in two if they are coming from the south, and go around me and the surrounding areas. And 100 degree temps for a week have made a real dent in the corns apprearence, so I am praying for a very rainy 4th of July.
