I just store the garlic that I buy in a mesh bag on my kitchen counter. Needs a dry area.

Hello Artelaine, Light and moisture are garlic's worst enemies, as they both cause mold to grow. Instead, store garlic at room temperature in a dry, dark place that has plenty of air circulation, like in a wire-mesh basket or open paper bag in a cupboard or pantry

Hi, you need to keep them in the dark, they will sprout with just exposure to light, and they need air so a basket is better than a jar
