How do I plant around a tree stump?

Hello Wendy! I have planted hostas around tree stumps in my yard and then used the stump to place pots of flowers on in the summer.

We live in the country. My husband drilled a big hole in the stump, put charcoal and fluid in the hole and let it burn, burn, burn, down to ashes.

I have several tree stumps hubs cut for me when clearing areas . I’m going to do mosaics on mine for either sitting or for a table . Most will be sitting .

Or you could drill a hole and add a water pump making a fountain.
