How do I clean old steel framed windows?

That don’t really seem clean after you clean them?

After cleaning them, just use a paper towel to which you've added a drop or two of vegetable oil of any kind and rub the steel lightly with the paper towel. Don't use very much...just a drop or so and you'll be amazed at how great the steel will look. Give it a try.

Do you mean the glass or the frame? If it is the frame try SOS Pads.

Hi Lisa: Are you sure they are steel and not aluminum? Use a hose to douse your door or window frames with water and to get rid of any webs. Scrub the frames with a detergent solution or a special aluminum cleaner, or maybe Barkeepers Friend or Bon Ami, anything that won't scratch the surface. Scrub in one direction, like up and down. Otherwise you will get a swirling effect. Wipe down the frames, from the top to the bottom and then rinse with clean water. You can put a paste wax on once they're dry. That should do it for you. Good luck

Yes, they are aluminum, thank you!
