DIY Reclaimed Wood Bed

Some friends of mine were throwing away some wood from an old deck. So my husband and I snagged the wood and decided to make a bed. It took about an afternoon to build and a couple more days to stain and seal it to allow for drying time. We are totally in love with our free bed!

How did you make the side and foot of the bed

It looks great. I'm wondering how safe the wood is since it was from a deck. Most deck wood is pressure treated so it contains arsenic which is a toxin.

    Hi Suzie.

How did you make the pattern/stencil for the headboard? The bed is beautiful.
