How should I clean the winter salt residue off my wood floors?
The Lanscapers in our development used calcium chloride on the sidewalks. There is a black film/residue on my tile floor in my front entryway and the wood floors in the hallway.

I would use warm water, a bit of vinegar and a bit of dish liquid to remove the calcium. Just damp mop and do not saturate.
After you've cleaned your floor as you normally do, go over it with a cup or 2 of white vinegar mixed into a bucket full of warm to hot water.
