How do I fix a hole in the wall?

In My Den near my chimney there's a hole in the wall from the fix it.

    Using a spackle product and putty knife should do the trick! Youtube should have some great video tutorials!

    Hi CherylLynn,

    Get some nonshrining dry wall compound and spread it into the hole using a trowel spreader. Smooth the top and feather the edges the best you can, then let it dry. Once it's dry, use a fine sand paper to make sure it's smooth. I like to finish it with a slightly damp sponge to make sure it's feathered well. Once that's dry, prime, then paint it to match your walls or repaint your walls if necessary. I hope that helps. Wishing you the best.
