My husband takes ours outside hanging them from our swing and uses warm water with Dawn soap. Uses garden hose and brush. Works great on our mini vinyl blinds. Not sure about any other kind.
First vacuum them then toss them in some warm water with vinegar & Dawn in the bathtub. Let them soak a while then wipe them down and rinse. Hang them if you can but if not, drip off what water you can then rest them on bath towels in the tub and let them air dry. You could also use a rag and a bucket of equal parts of vinegar & water with a few drops of Dawn. Use the rag with a pair of tongs to wipe each slat. Wishing you the best.
